Hawaii Inspired Nursery

I am so excited to finally share photos of the boys nursery! For Knox’s first year of life we lived in a one-bedroom where his “nursery” was simply a pack in play in the corner of our room. It honestly worked out great for us and when he was so little he didn’t really need his own space. Now that he is coming up on 2 years old and we are adding another baby boy to the family we wanted to create a space where they could play together, read books, and relax. We waited forever to tackle the nursery, but once we did it was so much fun to put together! I have shared links to everything that I could below. If something does not have a link, it’s because it’s either thrifted, homemade, or sold out. We wanted to design a room that was ocean and Hawaii inspired, and we are so happy with how it turned out!

We wanted something timeless and ocean inspired! It was our goal to make a space that could grow up with the kids. We also wanted the nursery to double as a play room.

Crib : We actually got 2 of these cribs, one for each boy. We loved it because it transforms from a bassinet to a crib to a toddler bed! It’s super cute and brings the room together. Once baby #2 gets a little older we will move him into the room and his crib will match Knox’s transformed toddler bed.

Wave Wallpaper: The highlight of the space! I feel like the wallpaper really brings everything together and completes the room. I love that the waves resemble the North Shore and the color blue is so bright and happy. Code MADDIE10 for 10% off (good until February 12th).

White Dresser: We looked for a dresser for a surprisingly long time. We ended up going with this one from Target and LOVE it! Very affordable compared to other dressers.

Recliner Chair: Right now we have a Papasan chair in the room, but we just ordered this recliner chair for reading books, nursing, and rocking the baby.

Surf Prints: I LOVE these three prints behind the crib! I found them on Etsy from a local artist and really liked the vibe. I especially like them because we live right at Sunset beach and it's cool to have our closest beach handing in his room.

Oahu’s North Shore Print

White 12x18 Frame: Very affordable and durable!

Moses Basket Bassinet: We used this bassinet with Knox when he was a baby.

Moses Basket Bassinet Stand: This stand is great because it is easy to set up and rocks back and forth.

White Rope Toy Baskets: A cute way to hide toys!

Floating Book Shelf: One of our favorite parts of the room! I love that it is Knox’s height so he can reach books and read them on his own. He has been reading way more books now that we have these shelves.

Rainbow Tapestry: A cute accent piece.

Design Dua Changing Table : Very cute and fits both Knox and the baby.
