Our Experience With Mixbook
Babies grow up too dang fast. I swear I looked at a picture of Knox from a week ago and he is already a whole new person! I have always loved taking photos because it helps me remember the moments I never want to forget. It really is true that “a photo is worth a thousand words”. When I see a picture of Knox from months ago I instantly remember what we were doing that day, the emotions I felt and the memories all come back to me. I am so grateful that we have prioritized taking photos throughout the first year of his life. In the moment I always think “I am never going to forget this”, but memories fade so quickly. Taking photos has really helped me document my journey as a mother and the precious moments with my son. I am passionate about journaling, but I feel like it is so much harder now that I am a mom. Taking photos and creating photo books is like a family journal for us! I am excited to show my photo books to my kids as they grow older! We can share the special memories with them and bond as a family.
I was lucky enough to team up with Mixbook to bring our photos to life. Mixbook photo books are such an easy way to organize all your photos into a beautiful physical book! I took our favorite photos from the last 14 months with him and created a book I will cherish forever. Every time Cole and I visit our parents we spend hours flipping through old photo albums and sharing our childhood memories with each other. I am so excited to watch our kids flip through our photo books and reminisce. I made a copy for my mother in law as well so she can watch Knox grow through pictures! We live an ocean away and I know that she wishes her grand baby was closer. I am excited to gift this to her so whenever she misses her grandson she can open the book and see his cute face.
The creation process was so simple and easy! I decided to go with the Martha Stewart photo album collection because I loved their summer inspired designs. I ended up going with the Abstract album because I loved all the suns and bright colors. It gave me a little feel of Hawaii! I loved this template because the design is already laid out so beautifully for you, but you can change up the layout and text however you would like. It took under an hour in total to upload over 50 pages of photos and make some small design adjustments. The book came so quickly, and the quality of the prints are amazing!
Knox is not a fan of children's books yet and has a hard time sitting still when I read to him. I started showing him this photo book before bedtime and he loves it! He points and pictures of himself and giggles at the photos. It has become such a fun nightly ritual in our house. I am so glad that I partnered with Mixbook to give my photos a whole new meaning.
